Birdville Lady Hawks varsity volleyball team receive awards

The Birdville Lady Hawks Volleyball team racked up some big awards at the district level this season.   Here are the District 6-4A honors that were awarded to the Birdville Lady-Hawks: 

2012 District 6-4A INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: 
•District Most Valuable Player – Allie Plunk
•District Server of the Year – Tatiana Ferrari

First Team All District: Allie Plunk, Tatiana Ferrari, Kyndall Brown, Hannah Ray;
Second Team All District: Emily Jones, Shelby Mench, Shanice Villanueva
Honorable Mention All District: Yana Tarankov, Darien Aretino, and Abby Reeves.

    Also, on  a personal note:  I’d  like  to congratulate this year’s  BHS Girls Varsity Volleyball team on a great season, and  without the overall TEAM WORK from the team, these awards couldn’t have been made possible.  
 

Hawk Insider: Birdville will play Azle for first round playoff game..

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS:    The Birdville Hawks will play the Azle Hornets in the by-round of the playoffs, which will be on Thursday, kickoff at 7:00, the game will be held at Chisholm Trail High School.     Previously, however there was talk that Birdville would face Byron Nelson in the first-round,  due to an Azle loss on Friday night, Nelson will miss the playoffs, despite winning their game with no problem.   — It was under these circumstances, however that  Trophy-Club was unable to make it.
