My Thoughts on the Jets..

Note: This has some Edits in it..

The Jets currently stand at 500. with a 2-2 record, with wins over Buffalo (48-28), and a victory on the road at Miami,  in a pair of AFC East games.   — The last game has pretty much everyone talking… and pointing fingers. In an ugly game, the Jets got manhandled by the San Francisco 49ers at home, 34-0. It’s not as though the Jets never stood a chance at all in this contest, as they were in it at halftime, down only 10-0. Quarterback  Mark Sanchez was 13-29 in Sunday’s game, throwing for 103 yards, with an average of 3.6 yards per throw.

  — Even after such a wretched performance, it shouldn’t be time for head coach Rex Ryan and the Jets to pull the trigger on a quarterback change – not just yet. This is because Sanchez, to his credit, did produce a couple of victories before the trash game he turned in against the 49ers.

— Some might argue an opposing point: Sunday’s postgame scene marked the first-time in a press conference that Ryan wasn’t making excuses after a loss; after a loss like that, there’s nothing to cover up. The Jets haven’t exactly been captain           consistency under Ryan as their head coach, therefore leading some to press the panic button. Ryan, the reasoning goes, may not get a lot of opportunities left to prove himself as the Jets’ head coach. Such a line of argumentation may lead to re-thinking the depth chart, in order to see if the team can win more games under different players, such as Tim Tebow at quarterback. While it’s only four-games into the season, it’s worth pointing out that the 2011 Denver Broncos — adrift and troubled — switched to Tebow after five weeks of Kyle Orton under center.  Denver made the decision, and look at how that went.  The Jets are facing the same basic choice right now.

Tim Tebow vs. Mark Sanchez

DENVER: All Tim Tebow ever heard in Denver was: “you’re not good enough” or “you can’t do it”, and sometimes: “you don’t have what it takes”,  and there isn’t a reason in the world to think that he won’t be hearing the same things in the Big Apple as a Jet. Yes, even as a back-up to Mark Sanchez.  Let me ask you something Jets fans:  Between the (Two) who made the playoffs last-season? Now  If I Re-call correctly, the Broncos did.  I remember the Giants crushing the Jets playoff hopes in a late December game, and I also remember the Broncos beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs, thanks to who? (Tim Tebow).

The Sportsguy Thomas Brunt wants you to know that there was a point last-season where Mark Sanchez was ice-cold, and Tim Tebow was on fire, that’s why the Broncos made the playoffs, and the Jets didn’t.   Tim Tebow  is to become a Jet on the weekend, or Monday.

Blog: Jets say Sanchez is still the starter

NEW YORK:  Jets General Manager Mike Tannebuam made clear on Wednesday night that he traded for Tim Tebow  as a backup QB, and that Mark Sanchez is still the starting quarterback.

“Mark Sanchez is, has been and will be our starting quarterback,” Tannenbaum said. “We’re adding Tim to be our backup and be used in other packages.”   “I’m looking at two head coaches who lost to Tim last year,” Tannenbaum said of Ryan and Sparano.

Come on, hasn’t Tebow proved himself more than Sanchez? Especially after last-season?

BLOG: The Dolphins reportedly: “aren’t interested in Tim Tebow”

The Miami Dolphins are reportedly “not interested in Tim Tebow” according  Miami Herald Sports columnist Armando Salguero , via “several highly placed club sources”, that the team will not pursue a deal for Tebow. Per Salguero, the team is unwilling to revamp its offense for Tebow and they don’t think he’d fit into the West Coast scheme they want to run next season.

Here’s the place for all the caveats about not showing your cards at the poker table, especially when you’re talking about a team that is dealing with some serious fan unrest about their current direction. Tebow would put people in the seats, regardless of how well he fits the offense, and the call to make a move could come from a place even higher than the sources who spoke to Salguero.

Information from the Miami Herrald’s Armando Salguero was used for this report, and some information was also used from ProFootball Talk.com’s blog post on this

Denver Broncos not so confident in Tim Tebow, anymore, after all, huh?

DENVER:  So much for Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos basically just told Tim Tebow that they don’t really  care about him, and there are better than him not that he didn’t know that, but, they’re just throwing dirt in his eyes by doing this to him.  The last-time I checked, the Broncos had confidence in Tebow as the starting quarterback, the last-time I checked, Tim Tebow defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, and  a (injured) Peyton Manning was on the sidelines for a struggling Indianapolis Colts football team led by Dan Ovriliksy.   I’m not sure, but I think I might be pretty sure about this:  Tim Tebow probably has more years in the bag, than Peyton Manning.   — Why are the Broncos doing this? It’s like they’re throwing dirt in his eyes, and ripping his heart out and stomping on it.   If Tebow stays in Denver, despite Manning’s health risk level and age, we all know who is going to still win this QB competition, yes, Mr.Manning.

Thomas Brunt AKA: The Sportsguy would like you to know that he thinks the Broncos weren’t very smart to go after Peyton Manning, and that he thought Denver had confidence in Tebow.

Teams desperate to land Manning have ignored Health

Manning meets with the Titans for eight hours

As you know, Peyton Manning played his college ball in Tennessee, and he loves it there, so, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him end up with the Titans, plus Titans owner Bud Adams has offered him a ‘life-time’ contract, that may play in to an advantage for him, than there’s the team that I don’t you can necessarily knock out of  in these talks, in the Denver Broncos, who by some, may be viewed as THE favorites to end up signing Manning.

As Mark Schelereth from ESPN’sNFL Live said the other day: “The Denver Broncos are really the only team that doesn’t have to do anything”.

And he’s right, by that, if you don’t get why he’s saying, is basically, they don’t have to make any changes, to fill in for possible non money to be able to get him, or something like that.  —  No offense to Tim Tebow, but I think we all know that Denver is WAY HIGHER on Manning than they are on Tebow, who hasn’t been to shabby himself, in just his second season as a starting NFL QB.

While Denver, or John Elway, more specially, may be so high on Manning, they do have to keep in mind this: Peyton Manning’s health, like I said, every-team that is wanting to sign the 13 year NFL  Future Hall Of Famer QB, have to keep in their minds, the delicately of Manning’s health, which really doesn’t seem to bother anyone that has wanted to take a shot PM. Manning, though, will make the decision that he does, and if that means retiring, because, he ultimately in the end, realizes the importance of his own health (*Cough: 3 Neck Surgeries this past off-season), than, hey, that’s fine with me, but I don’t think we ever will have another player quite like Peyton Manning.

Thomas Brunt wants you to know, that he thinks that Peyton Manning should really retire, in order to avoid any serious injures, but hey, that’s just his opinion, you can send your’s to him here: thesportsguy.brunt2@gmail.com

All ESPN ever talks about is:

It seems all they talk about now on ESPN is Jeremy Lin, and or Tim Tebow.  And quite frankly, it gets old after a while, real old.  ESPN claims they’re the “world wide leader in sports”, I can agree with that, to a point, maybe. More like the world wide leader in Jeremy Lin biased sports-casters, or something like that. — I mean for pete’s sake: on Mike&Mike in the Morning they have a Jeremy Lin song, or at least they did, at one point. — I’m not a fan of Lin, I’m not bias towards him, so, yeah, you get it, that’s wht I get tired of it on ESPN.  Honestly, though, it really seems all they ever talk about is Jeremy Lin. It needs to end, end now.

Tim Tebow: A Message From Heaven?

DENVER: — I think it’s safe to say that Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is quite different from other guys that have played the game of football (NFL to be exact). — Not just the way he plays the game, but his personality, rather.  — Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of “faith” guys out there in the NFL, but Tebow has really showed his off, probably more than any-other guy that I’ve seen.  — All the other guys have it, but they don’t show it, Tim Tebow has it, he show’s it.

—- Even through losses, Tebow shows his humbleness towards God.  He clearly shows it.   — Unlike most guys, who play to win the game, I don’t think Tim Tebow isn’t so much all for that. — You see, Mr.Tebow it’s as if he’s playing for God, and only for God.   Tim Tebow has proven that he is not afraid to show his faith, something that some players, I think lack, if they could show that, than they would be doing what all NFL players really should, that’s setting a good example for the younglings, the ones that watch the game at an early ages.

— They always say that pro-athletes are supposed to be: “role-models”. —- Tebow more than anything, is an example, an example that everyone would be wise to follow.  Maybe Tim Tebow was an angel sent from God, to Earth for one reason: to change the way people look at this game, and or view the players.

Have you ever thought at all, that maybe, God is trying to send a life message in sending Tebow?

Win or Lose, Tim Tebow will always praise God, he’s not just an NFL Quarterback, he’s the person that all athletes try to follow, but fail, he is a role-model, one that all would be wise to follow.
