Birdville not finishing second this time

The Birdville Hawks are  now on the cusp of  becoming the district champions, for the first time in nine years, which was head-coach Jim Skinner‘s second year as the team’s head-coach has been having no problem taking care of all the team’s in district play.   Quarterback Justin Martin and running-back Xavier Turner have shared the impact that they have created, as the two have both been unstoppable against everyone in their path.

— It must help that they don’t  have to worry about a record-breaking running-back, and one of the greatest running-backs in the history of  Texas High School Football.   — Former Aledo super-star running-back, Johnathan Gray seemed to have a bit to do with this.

The Hawks finished second numerous times, but not this time.   This time, it’s personal.   Birdville has been letting their opponents know that they won’t be taking anything from anyone.   This week though, the Hawks are off.  After nine consecutive weeks of  playing a football game, their bye-week has come, only to finish the regular season off against underdog  Fort-Worth Polytechnic, on November 9th at the Birdville Fine Arts Athletics Complex.
