The Humility of the King

On Palm Sunday,  Jesus rode into town, but not on a kings stallion, on a humble donkey. The servant king.     “For even the Son of Man  did not come  to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many.”  Mark 10:45   Jesus is the only king that humbled himself to the point of a servant, if we had lived back in his day, we probably wouldn’t have noticed he was a King unless, of course we’re one of his twelve (or eleven) disciples.  But my point here is that Jesus always took less than he could have, but it’s because he saw the bigger picture that most Kings still fail to see, and because Jesus Christ himself was poor, he had a heart for the poor.    You won’t see to many poor Kings, today and probably not many back then, either, but when Christ ran his ministry on Earth, things were different,  yet so much remains to this day.
