Obeying God and the Cross

“However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you:”  Deuteronomy 28:15    We either obey God completely, or we don’t at all.  It’s that simple.   “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”  Jesus once said in the Gospels.     When we don’t follow the Lord’s commandments, we are under the curse.   All of us.   So you might be thinking, how than are we safe?  The cross, of course.   Certainly, most definitely Christ died for me.   Certainly, he died for you.   Christ died for God, more than anything.   “Before we can look at the cross as something for us, we have to look at it as something done by us.”  – Rev John Stott  The question, I guess is are you with Christ, or are you not?
