Obeidience to the Lord matters

I may begin doing a blog series on faith, sort of like a sermon series..

People will often get stirred up for Christ and then they will start wanting to be a preacher or a missionary, which is awesome, but God still may want us to be plumbers, or police officers, or judges.  If you are a Christ follower, obedience isn’t even an option because we are called to do the father’s will.  This somehow brings us to living by faith, and not emotions. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).  If we serve the Lord based on emotions, than that’s only half-hearted lukewarm Christianity, if we show God we can serve him by faith we are saying “This is my trust in you”.   A bunch of other bad things could happen also if we only live by our emotions.  It’s easy to get stirred up for the Lord, and it’s a good thing that it happens, but obedience and faith are key.
