NORTH RICHLAND HILLS: Tough is the word Coach Jeff Fitch used to describe Friday Night’s huge victory over district opponent, Saginaw Boswell. – – – Tough, as he likes to put it is a valid statement, as that’s the kind of task they faced in stopping a solid Boswell team, who beat Birdville earlier in the season. But that was than, and this is now. Things have changed, and it would seem for the better, as oft now, anyway. That’s not to take away how big this win was though, it was big, and it puts them in a more comfortable position.
– – – Make no mistake about it though, the task the Birdville Hawks had on Friday night was no cake-walk, it was tough. When a win is tough, you can appreciate it more, especially after losing a tough one on Tuesday night. Now, it’s down to a game they have to win, it’s a game that matters. Tough, like Coach Fitch likes to put it is what they’ll have in store when they go up against Saginaw. It was a tough win for the Hawks, this only means there is more to come for them. If Friday night was any indication though, they look ready, they look tough, kind of like a Playoff team.
