NORTH RICHLAND HILLS: Demolition is the best way to put it. The Birdville Lady Hawks outplayed the Carter River Side Lady Eagles in every single aspect of the game. It wasn’t pretty, for Carter River Side, the Lady Hawks held their opponents to just 11 points for the game, and that was one of Lady Hawks’ goals in this game. “Tonight our defensive goal was to hold them to 20 points, and we did that” said Lady Hawks’ head-coach, Amy Ingram. Indeed they did. – – – The Lady Hawks were led by Sophomore guard Brittany Perrau, who had 25 points, 5 of them coming from downtown in the massacre win. While this win is big for Birdville in the fact that they held opposition to just 11 points, it’s bigger in the fact that they are still in the hunt for the playoffs. With the win vs. Carter River Side here, the Lady Hawks’ record against the Eagles improves to 2-0 on the season.
