Birdville High School Sports Report (9/19/12)

  • The Birdville Lady Hawks won their volleyball game on Tuesday night at Saginaw High School, improving to 7-0 on the season in district play: “The Saginaw win was HUGE for us.  It seemed like their whole football team was there cheering them on and we had to fight for every point.  That was the first game we had to play without both Tiara and Darien.  Kyndall had to step up and fill in at middle blocker.  I felt good about it though, because she came up to me before the game and said she was up to the challenge!  Its not an easy thing to do to play a position you haven’t worked on all season.  We never gave up and the kids played very well together.  The next time we face them will be the test, we have beaten them twice b/c we played them in a tournament.  Its always tough to beat a team three times,”  (Coach Rinehart on Defeating Saginaw High School in Saginaw).

  • The JV Football team plays this Thursday at Dunbar High School, go watch them as there are a few players that could very well end up on Varsity on this team.
