BLOG REPORT: Chipper Jones undergoes successful knee surgery

The Braves  announced just a short while ago that Chipper Jones underwent successful arthroscopic surgery earlier today to repair a torn miniscuis in his left knee.

This is the sixth surgery of  Jones’s career and comes just days after the  39 year old baseman announced his intention to retire after the 2012 season.  Jones missed three weeks following arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last July.
