My Super-Bowl Contenders for the up-coming season

With the season over, it’s time for me to list the top teams who I think have the best shot at contending for the Super-Bowl next season.

#1:  Green-Bay Packers:  This is probably the expected spot for this team anyway.  — I don’t think I have to say much about this team.  — They have a Pro-Bowl Quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, 2 wide-outs who may be one of the best in the league. — Don’t forget about TE JerMicheal Finley, also, who is a huge-play maker for this offense.  One thing though about this team, is they gave up a lot of points, their defense ranked last in the league, but they did lead the NFL in interceptions, despite that, they allowed a lot of quarterbacks to pass for a lot of yards, and throw for a lot of  TDs.

#2: San Fransisco 49ers: In his 6th year in the league, 49ers quarterback may of just had the best season of his career so far. — But he wasn’t the complete reason why they made as far as they did this past-season. — Look no further than the 49ers defense, the Niners had a great season, and it was because of their defense. — While Smith was able to make plays as a QB at times this season, the defense is really what held this team together.  — Heck, even in the NFC Championship game they sacked Giants Quarterback Eli Manning six times, the Giants, however, still won.

#3: Atlanta Falcons:  The Falcons pretty much a had a let down season compared to the previous season, sure, they made the playoffs, but barley, and  Matt Ryan had a not so great season. — Every good quarterback will have a  “off-season” and this was his, look for Ryan to have a huge bounce-back season, with players such as Wide Receiver Roddy White, and RB Micheal Turner.

#4 :  New York Giants:  Eli Manning may of shut the haters up with another SB victory, after a another win vs. the Patriots, once again. —- Before the season, Manning was quoted saying: “I think I’m an elite quarterback” I think it’s  safe to say: he is indeed an elite quarterback.  He’s shut the haters up, at least for now, though.

#5:  Pittsburgh Steelers: Let me make one thing clear here: This team is ultimately built off of their defense. — Yes, I know, they have, probably if not the dirtiest, one of the dirtiest players in the NFL in James Harrison, but that doesn’t  really matter when you posses the talent that Harrison does.  — Their offense, isn’t to shabby either, and I think they have an okay QB in Ben Rothlisberger.

— No, he’s not a Tom Brady, or a Drew Brees, even, but he’s one of those QB’s who is capable of making the Pro-Bowl on a consistent basis.  He does also have some good talent on the receiving corp. — I said it once, and I’ll say it again: This team is built from their defense.       (Note: yes, I think Big Ben is better than former Pittsburgh Steeler QBs of: Kordell Stewart, and Tommy Maddox.

#6: New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees is a phenomenal Quarterback. — And he does have a great amount of talent on the receiving corps of this team. — Reggie Bush never really worked out the way we thought he would, so they got rid of him. — Now they have a guy with plenty of talent in Mark Ingram.
